SUMMARY:Dragonfly Bubbleship Rhino Level 2
DESCRIPTION:Dragonfly Bubbleship – Rhino Level 2\nThis course (Dragonfly Bubbleship – Rhino L.2) is for users familiar with Rhino 5. Recognized as an official level2 course\, all trainees receive an Official McNeel Rhino level 2 Certificate upon completion. In this training course you will learn to create and edit accurate free form 3d NURBS models. This fast-moving class covers mainly advanced Rhino commands\, focused on surface manipulation\, continuity and intricate solid creation.\nThe course is intensive (16hrs) and spans two consecutive days (10:00 to 18:00). Each trainee receives the official Rhino level2 courseware as part of attending this course. \n \nCase Study\nAt decode™ effective training is achieved via an intriguing goal by contrast of generic exercises. All the Rhino level 2 teaching material will be taught by modeling the Dragonfly Bubble ship from the movie Oblivion\, designed by Daniel Simon. In a step by step modeling method\, each student will be guided through the experience of completing a challenging and interesting design project\, and managing to use commands in synergy through various techniques. \n \nExpected Outcomes\nAfter this course (Dragonfly Bubbleship – Rhino L.2) the student is expected to be able to: \n\nIdentify when free form or precision modelling is required\nCreate and edit curves\, surfaces\, and solids\nUse modelling aids for accuracy\nAcieve professional level surface combinations and analysis\n\nTarget Audience\nThis course (Dragonfly Bubbleship – Rhino L.2) is for the design professional who wants to efficiently hone his skills on the Rhinoceros modelling software at an accelerated pace in an instructor-led environment. \nPre-requisites\nRequires Windows skills and desire to model. Previous drafting and modelling experience in Rhino necessary. For achieving best results from this course participants should have already finished one of our level1 courses and be using Rhino for at least two months. \nCurriculum\nAt decode™ effective training is achieved via an intriguing goal by contrast of generic exercises. All the Rhino level 2 teaching material will be taught by modeling the Dragonfly Bubbleship from the movie Oblivion\, designed by Daniel Simon. In a step by step modeling way each student will be guided through the experience of completing a challenging and interesting design project\, and managing to use commands in synergy through various techniques\, just like a professional would. \n  \nPrecision Modelling\n \nUse surface constraints to model easily and accurately. Move off the x-y plane and use viewports to establish the current construction plane. Draw accurate curves on surface and build your methodology towards intricate solids. \n\nUnderstand Curve Degree\nWork with Curve and Surface Continuity\nUse Curvature Graph\nUse Zebra Analysis for Surfaces\nMatching Surface continuity\nAdd Knots to control surface matching\nSurface Blend Options\nFillets\, Blends and Corners\n\nFollowed by more on Surface Editing\n \nUse edit commands to produce complex and detailed variations on the Surfaces. \n\nSurface protrusions and Insets\nCreased Surfaces\nCurve fairing to control Surface Quality\nCage Editing in Parts\nSmooth Transitions from Crease to Uniform Surfaces\nDeformations and Surface Tween\n\nAdvanced Surfacing and Solids\n \nModel with solids and solid text using History. Use Boolean tools to shape your model. Extrude\, loft\, and revolve curves into surfaces. Use sweeps to create additional surfaces. Use advanced surfacing techniques like blend\, match\, and surface from network of curves. \n\nActivating history\nSteps in the history chain\nHistory – enabled commands\nHistory – related commands\nBlock instances and definitions\nBlock Insertion\, embedded and linked blocks\nEditing Blocks\n\nSchedule\n\n\n\nPart 1 – day 1\nTopic: Modeling in Rhino5\n\n\n10:00-11:00\nIntroduction\, Warm up exercise\n\n\n11:00-12:00\nNurbs Topology and Curve Degree\n\n\n12:00-13:00\nCurve and Surface Continuity\n\n\n13:00-14:00\nLunch\n\n\n14:00-16:00\nCreating Geometry (designing Drogonfly Bubbleship rough volumes and shapes)\n\n\n16:00-18:00\nMapping objects to surfaces\, Surface analysis\, direct surface manipulation.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPart 1 – day 2\nTopic: Modeling in Rhino5\n\n\n10:00-13:00\nSurfacing and model editing\, Control point editing\, Nurb geometry manipulation\, Working with Blocks and History.\n\n\n13:00-14:00\nLunch\n\n\n14:00-16:00\nModeling practice (finishing the Dragonfly Bubbleship)\n\n\n16:00-18:00\nDetailing and Rendering in Flamingo NXT (time allowing)\n\n\n\n
